The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance and Administration Manager to join our team at Armidale Private Hospital! Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be integral in driving our financial management and performance. In this role, you will oversee financial operations, support strategic decision-making, and ensure the hospital's financial stability and efficiency. As part of the leadership team, you will also lead a small staff, guiding them to support the hospital’s long-term success. Please note, this is a part-time position requiring 20 hours per week.

What You’ll Do

  • Finalise and analyse results, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and business plans.
  • Oversee financial aspects of capital expenditure.
  • Collaborate with corporate finance services on reporting and compliance.
  • Partner with clinical departments to educate and empower managers in monitoring and achieving KPIs.
  • Provide high-level administrative support, including coordinating correspondence, preparing reports, and handling information requests.
  • Offer site office support, ensuring accurate data entry, filing, and efficient diary management.

About You

To succeed in this role, you’ll need strong commercial acumen, financial management expertise, and the ability to build positive relationships with both remote and on-site teams.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Qualifications in accountancy/finance management, preferably CPA or CA.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract valuable insights from financial and operational data.
  • Collaborative approach to working with the business to drive performance improvement.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, sound decision-making skills, and clear, concise communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience with large accounting software packages and financial reporting models, including advanced budget preparation.
  • Proven ability to engage and support key non-financial stakeholders.
