Position Profile

JHC is looking to employ Registrars with a salary range of $139,932 – $214,046 p.a pro rata (including base salary, 11.5% superannuation and professional development allowance).

High overnight penalties are paid.

 

The Position:

  • This position is considered rural remote - band 1 and may accrue additional points for general surgery training program
  • Paid overtime
  • Annual leave availability

 

The position will entail combined Gynae Oncology and General Surgery, assisting and primary operator opportunities in Gynaecology, Advanced Gynaecological Laparoscopic  Surgery, GynaeOncology Surgery and General Surgery.  You may also be involved in the state peritonectomy service.

There are teaching and research opportunities available for those looking to enhance their future career prospects. By the completion of the year, Service Registrars would be competent with the clinical assessment and management of the acute surgical patient, have exposure to a wide range of surgical procedures and should be able to perform laparoscopic procedures and have a detailed knowledge of how to manage gynaecological cancers.

  • RANZCOG ITP Year 3 or above
  • Demonstrated commitment to uphold and promote the Ramsay Way core values
  • Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Demonstrated exceptional communication skills.

Requirements
