About the Role

In this position you will work in a team that is responsible for the efficient operation of the stores section of the Supply Department.

  • You will receive, stores and distribute medical and general stores throughout the hospital.
  • You will be required to unload vehicles, unpack cartons, check stock and pick, pack and deliver as directed to various departments in the hospital. All quickly and with a high degree of accuracy.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for a number of key departments/wards in regard to ensuring adequate stock is available and maintained.
  • This is a hands on, demanding & responsible position.  
  • Working hours are usually Monday-Friday – flexibility of start & finish times is important.

 

About You

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience working in a warehouse/stores including using computerised stock control system.
  • Proven ability to be highly accurate in a busy stores environment
  • A positive “can do” attitude with ability to take responsibility.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Demonstrated good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.  
  • Proven ability to liaise, negotiate and problem solve with various stakeholders

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a medical/hospital environment
  • Forklift qualification
  • Qualification in Purchasing or SAP

 

Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $30.00 + 25% casual loading + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements
