The Opportunity

We are seeking General Services Officer to work in the main kitchen and when needed as part of our Georgie’s’ Café and Retail at St George Private Hospital. As a General Services Officer, you will work alongside a fast-paced team that thrives on delivering exceptional customer service in line with our Ramsay Core Values.

Your duties will include:

  • Front facing customer service with hospital staff, patients, and members of the public.
  • Maintaining food hygiene, a clean working area and safety practices
  • Assisting the broader team as required 
  • Stock management.
  • Availability across a 7-day roster, including morning and afternoon shifts.

 

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Experience in a fast-paced café and hospital kitchen environment, barista experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as training will be given.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Punctuality, reliability and with a commitment to genuine, friendly customer service.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or hospital environment but not essential.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles
  • Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Workplace, Health, and Safety
  • Certificate II or Certificate III in Hospitality (desirable)
