What you will be doing in this role

As a Registered Nurse in our Coronary Care Unit (CCU), you will be part of a dynamic and highly skilled team dedicated to providing specialised care for patients with a variety of critical cardiac conditions. The CCU is a 25-bed unit, and we have several Casual Registered Nurse positions available.

In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and providing care for patients experiencing acute cardiac events, working as an integral part of the hospital’s emergency response team. You will be involved in the treatment of a broad range of medical and surgical cardiac conditions, gaining in-depth knowledge and expertise in this specialised area of healthcare.

While prior experience in a critical care environment is beneficial, we welcome applications from Registered Nurses who demonstrate a passion for learning and are committed to developing their skills. Our CCU team is dedicated to providing comprehensive training and support to help you grow in this challenging and rewarding role.

Who we’re looking for

  • You’ll have current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and as a minimum have completed a New Graduate year within an acute care setting.
  • You’ll have demonstrated elevated level of empathy and strong emotional intelligence. 
  • You’ll be an exceptional communicator (both verbally and written) with demonstrated experience professionally communicating with patients, their families and colleagues. 
  • You’ll have the flexibility to work a range of 12-hour shifts on a casual basis
  • You’ll be committed to growing your skills and knowledge within the CCU setting.
  • You’ll hold full Australian working rights.
