What you’ll be doing in this role 
We are currently searching for an exceptional, full time Heath Fund Relationship Manager here at the Sydney Adventist Hospital in leafy Wahroonga, NSW.  

Reporting to our supportive and dynamic Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), this role is primarily responsible for managing effective relationships with our existing funds, with the aim to achieve the best possible reimbursement for care we provide to our patients.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Maintaining effective and professional working relationship with payers, including health funds, public hospitals, and other funding organisations
  • Develop and execute contract negotiation strategies that contribute to achieving our commercial objectives and our mission
  • Develop your influence and engagement skills in a position where you’ll recommend to executives’ strategies for revenue optimisation and service changes, that will underwrite the delivery of outstanding care to patients
  • Provide timely and practical recommendations to our Executives and leaders on health fund contract compliance matters, changes to services and the introduction of new services
  • Lead the continual review and improvement of our revenue cycle processes  
  • Lead the health fund audit team and ensure that audits are completed in a systematic manner, and process deficiencies identified by audits are subsequently remediated
  • Represent us on industry and community committees, such as the National Procedure Banding Committee and promote our interests and reputation


Who we are looking for

  • Previous or current experience working in a similar role, with proven experience negotiating contracts in the healthcare industry
  • Great stakeholder management skills with the proven ability to maintain and build upon existing business relationships
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and communicate status updates effectively with payers and internal stakeholders on contractual obligations/ issues etc
  • Ability to interpret financial models, analyse data and present these findings in the appropriate manner considering your audience 
  • You’ll be adaptable, willing to learn, and work in a team-orientated, fast-paced environment
