What you will be doing in this role
Reporting into our People & Culture Director, this role is responsible for leading a professional education service focused on the development of people capability across the organisation. 

You’ll expertly & collaboratively drive the Adventist HealthCare (AHCL) enterprise learning strategy and ensure that we are strongly placed to comply with the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards from a people skills perspective.

You’ll oversee the development and deployment of new innovative learning opportunities as well as the efficient operation of our New Graduate Nurse and wider Nursing & Operations Student Placement programs.

You’ll also oversee the design and coordination of conferences and symposiums purposed to promote the AHCL brand and professional learning connections within the wider healthcare sector.  

Who we are looking for

  • You’ll be a highly experienced senior learning and development leader who has successfully led a learning function within a large, diverse organisation within Health Services or related sector.
  • You’ll have proven experience developing, implementing and driving learning strategies.
  • You’ll have advanced consulting and instructional design skills and a deep knowledge of contemporary adult learning principles, techniques & strategies.  
  • You’ll be a strong collaborator with a demonstrated passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement.
  • You’ll have a demonstrated working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • You’ll ideally have working knowledge of the NSQHS Standards
  • You’ll have Post Graduate qualifications in Learning - essential. Should you have an undergrad qualification in Nursing or a related discipline this would be ideal, but not essential.
