The Opportunity

Nowra Private Hospital seeks the following positions to join us on a casual basis.

  • Occupational Therapist
  • Physiotherapist
  • Exercise physiologist

 

Nowra also has an opportunity for a Physiotherapist/Exercise Physiologist to join us on a Part-time, Maternity Leave position until 31/1/2025. 

 

Our team prioritizes delivering top-quality care with a professional and positive attitude to create a friendly and comfortable environment for all patients.  

  • In the role, you will be expected to manage a clinical caseload of patients across acute orthopaedic, inpatient rehabilitation, day rehabilitation program.
  • You will work across various clinical specialty areas and wards, contributing to the department’s service delivery.
  • Ability to work all shifts to meet the needs of the business over a seven-day rotating roster. Weekend availability preferrable.

 

Occupational Therapist 

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA
  • Prior experience working in a similar role with a diverse inpatient rehabilitation patient population
  • Demonstrated clinical reasoning skills to effectively plan, implement and evaluate occupational therapy treatment programs
  • Well-developed organisational skills to manage case load demands.

Candidates with prior experience working in a hospital setting is desirable.

 

Physiotherapist 

You will have exceptional customer service, strong verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills and also meet the following Selection Criteria:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Physiotherapy with current registration with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated strong clinical skills in Physiotherapy management of acute orthopaedics and rehabilitation patients
  • Proven ability to work across multiple clinical areas.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills ensuring appropriate handover and referrals are completed promptly.

Candidates with prior experience working in a hospital setting is desirable.

 

Exercise Physiology

To be successful in the role you will be a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.  

  • Accredited Member with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
  • Bachelor of Exercise Physiology or 4-year equivalent
  • Experience in Functional assessment for a wide variety of acute and chronic conditions including oncology, orthopaedics, pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation
  • Experience in conducting exercise conditioning treatment programs.

Candidates with prior experience working in a hospital setting is desirable.

 

Remuneration: Salary commensurate with experience
