Senior Speech Pathologist – Permanent Part-time

We are seeking an experienced Senior Speech Pathologist to join our team at Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital.

 

 

About the Role

The Senior Speech Pathologist will be responsible for leading and supporting the effective delivery of Speech Pathology services to both inpatients and outpatients. The Speech Pathology caseload is primarily adult patients with acquired neurological conditions including Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, and neuro-surgery, who present with communication and/or swallowing disorders. The caseload may also include patients admitted for reconditioning.

Your exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and your ability to manage a busy workload is essential for this role. 

Successful candidates will also meet the following criteria:

  • Eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience
  • Relevant experience in managing communication and swallowing disorders in neurological patients within a team environment
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Well-developed interpersonal and IT skills

Requirements
